Renewable Energy Advantages

What are the Renewable Energy Advantages?

Renewable Energy

Alternative Energy

Renewable energy is an energy source that can be easily replaced. Examples of renewable resources are those that can be used from wind, sunshine, flowing water, geothermal and biological processes. These energy resources are clean and environment-friendly when used and since they are not from resources that can be exhausted, they do not affect the earth’s natural resources like the use of fossil fuels. There are numerous renewable energy advantages like the use of unlimited energy resources, no pollution and cost-saving.

Renewable Energy Resources – Use Repeated Without Depleting the Source

One good advantage of using renewable energy resources is that we can use it continuously and the sources are infinite. We can never deplete the power we can get from the sun, the water on earth can not be dried up and the geothermal energy is always available to us.

These are energy sources that cannot be exhausted and using them will not harm Mother Nature.

When you use coal, gas or oil you quickly convert an easily available, concentrated source of energy into a much less available form of exhaust gases.

Using renewable energy on the other hand is merely tapping into a natural flow of energy that is part of natural cycles of life.

Renewable Energy Resources Advantages – Clean and Green

The use of renewable energy resources allows us to use enough energy power without causing pollution thus there is no additional strain or damage to global warming. There is no emission of that is harmful to the earth’s environment and to the humankind in whole.

The use of energy from fossil fuels does not only cause global warming but also pollution on earth. But the use of renewable energy resources results in a change in global attitude and awareness that will probably save the earth from total destruction; and the beginning of a new and clean earth will begin with you and the rest of the world who uses such energy resources.

Advantages of Renewable Energy Resources – Cost-saving

This could be one of the best things that an individual should consider when comparing renewable energy and non-renewable energy resources. With non-renewable energy you have to pay monthly bills that sometimes can hurt the budget. With renewable energy resources, you only need to pay for one time installation and use the energy free for the rest of your life; aside from a few maintenance costs from time to time. All in all, the amount you will pay for the initial set-up is still much lower when you compare your monthly consumption of non-renewable energy.

The financial cost of its applications may not be cheap but if we think of the cost of using fossil fuels have on earth and our health, the use of renewable energy resources wins hands-down.

With these advantages of renewable energy resources, it should not take a long time before all mankind will be using such energy resources. Let us all the change the world; start with this small change and let us all move on with our lives in a better, greener and more flourishing earth like God has created it.

The Benefits of Wind Electricity as an Alternative Energy Resource

Wind electricity

Wind electricity: The human being has always been striving for the exploitation of the natural resources to the best and following the same lines, there have been developed many natural resources that previously had limited use or there were not efficient minds

enough to convert their potentials into the usability.

Wind electricity: A good solution

One thing that has always been stressed upon is the use of such resources that are affluent and there is no risk of getting them vanished. Since the introduction of the electricity, we have devised a lot of methods to produce the same. Wind electricity produced from the wind was something that went a long way in surprising the world how efficient it is to exploit the wind power for the use of human being. It was the zeal and zest for the cleaner energy resources that the wind power generators came to the stage in late 1970’s.
Although the use of wind for the production of electricity is the cheapest one and there is a great potential to extract out the maximum power with the help of unlimited input material that is the wind, even then there are certain consideration needed to be taken into account while going for the wind electricity. Along with the solar energy, the energy produced by the use of wind is one of the best renewable and the alternative energy resources. Currently, the electricity is being produced from different sources like coal, petroleum, nuclear power, etc but these resources are not renewable. Moreover, the threats that can be faced by the use or the extinction of these limited resources. Hence, owed to the overwhelming energy demands, the need for the renewable sources urged to go for natural resources like the sun and the wind. The idea behind the wind power generation deals with the conversion of the natural kinetic energy of the wind into the electric energy.

The benefits of wind electricity

Let’s take a sneak peak of the benefits that are being enjoyed through the production of electricity through wind!
• The most welcomed feature of this type electricity is the environment friendliness of the power generation process. The wind power generators do not pose any threats to the environment on the whole. Th pollution is something that can not affect our earth if the wind power is produced.
• In the regions having good wind blows, the installation of wind turbines may come out to be not only the cheaper energy options but also the uninterrupted electricity flow can be expected. The production of energy without ay smokes, odors and the polluting chemicals creates a clean environment.
• When installed in the favorite areas like the beaches and other coastal regions, the wind turbines produce consistent energy.
• The amount of the energy expected to be generated is more than millions of Watts that are enough to meet the extensive electricity demands of a medium to large city.
• The use of extinguishing resources like coal and the petroleum can be diverted to some other useful purposes.
• The best thing going with the wind electricity is that there is no output of the fossil fuels that result into the environmental threats.

Examples of renewable energy: How can they affect the future of our children?

What is renewable energy?

What is renewable energy? Renewable or sustainable energy are the terms generally used to describe power that is generated from

renewable energy

renewable energy

non-depletable or renewable sources of energy.

Thus, the generation of power does not use up the resource permanently. It can get naturally re-instated so that it can be monitored to be self-sustaining. Alternately, the supply is itself enough to sustain the world’s requirements for all time to come. With the alarming depletion of fossil fuel resources, it is becoming essential to identify and find examples of renewable energy. Another advantage that renewable energy enjoys over fossil fuels or other non-renewable energy sources is that they do not pollute the earth and its atmosphere by releasing carbon dioxide and other by-products.

The best examples of renewable energy are:

Renewable energy wind

Wind is moving air that shifts around the Earth due to temperature and atmospheric pressure differences. Turbines are used to harness the wind and to produce energy. The wind rotates the blades, which move a rotor shaft. The mechanical energy is then used to drive a generator that produces electrical power. Generally, a line of wind turbines together forms a wind farm. Wind Power is a renewable and clean form of energy.

However, the drawback of this clean and renewable resource is that, the wind mills tend to spoil the natural beauty of a view. The high decibel sounds produced when the winds are strong are a source of noise pollution.

Solar renewable energy

This is the term used for power, which is harnessed from solar rays directly. The sun gives light and warmth to all living creatures and objects. This renewable energy has been in use from time immemorial for drying plants, crops and vegetation, warming water and heating homes and buildings. The sun rises every day and provides its light and heat in abundance in most countries. It does not cost anything and will never get depleted. For several years now, it has been possible to utilize solar panels to harness solar energy, store it and convert it into useful power.

Let us count the ways that we can use solar power. Homes and buildings can be specifically designed to best utilize solar energy. This is called passive solar heating. Active solar heating involves using panels to capture and store the energy to warm up water for normal day-to-day use and for swimming pools in the building. This technology utilizes photovoltaic cells to convert solar power into electricity using semiconductor electrons.

Biofuels

Biofuels are examples of renewable energy sources that originate from the waste of plants and animals. Several agricultural crops are highly suited to giving energy when burned. This is also referred to as “Biomass Burning”. These renewable sources of energy include trees, forests, grasslands and both urban and agricultural waste products. This is also one of the oldest forms of renewable energy used by man for thousands of years. Biofuels are classified as renewable energy as the energy they contain represents energy captured from the sun.

Hydroelectric Energy

Hydroelectric power (HEP) harnesses the energy latent in moving water to generate electricity. This needs the building of large dams across major rivers, which negatively influence the environment in terms of rooting communities of human beings out of their dwelling places and tending to alter the ecological balance of the area.

Geothermal renewable energy

Geothermal energy is obtained from capturing the heat that lies just below the surface of the Earth. It involves the drilling of wells that then extract the hot water and vapors from the depths of the earth and bring them to the surface. This heated water is then utilized to power the turbines and produce electricity. Areas that are in proximity to active volcanoes or new volcanoes are found to have sizzling temperatures under the surface of the earth. The Pacific Rim in particular is known for numerous volcanoes and hotspots and this has earned it the name “Ring of Fire”.

Wave Power

When wind blows steadily over water, friction can develop which transmits energy from the wind to the water and produces waves. The energy that is latent in the motion of waves can be harnessed and transformed into electrical or mechanical power. This is also a renewable resource. Actually, wave power is one of the most important examples of renewable energy.
