They don’t cause greenhouse effects or global warming, and there is no pollution in the air, as they are a clean source of energy. Due to natural sources they need less support on producing plants and the cost of working with them is reduced. An obvious disadvantage is that fossil fuels produce large amounts of electricity while renewable sources cannot. Also the cost of starting them is high, since they are a new technology.

Solar energy uses the renewable energy of the sun. It has an advantage because it can be adapted for already existing structures and it doesn’t require the use of land. Still, the area of the solar collectors is quite large, so there is a need for more materials. Geography controls solar radiation and it is limited to clear days and daytime hours.
Wind energy is the power of the wind used for producing electricity. Even though it is a massive job producer, strong winds are required for it to be effective. There is a plus that you can use the area under the large wind turbines for farming, but many still think that they are unattractive. They also generate a lot of noise when operated. Wild bird population is also threatened by wind turbines.
Hydroelectric energy is water used for producing power. Of all renewable sources of energy, this is the most reliable. As a disadvantage, it causes problems with the river’s downstream and affects ecology. A methane buildup can be caused by the decaying vegetation alongside the riverbed. Methane is a gas that affects the greenhouse effect. Dams also change the natural flowing of the river and have an effect on wildlife. Geothermal energy is steam from the ground of the Earth used for generating power. It doesn’t need large areas like other power plants. They can be run every day and every hour of the year. The problem with using this source of energy is that it can be located only on specific locations and can also extract poisonous toxins when retrieving steam. It is also an expensive task to find and drill a geothermal reservoir.
Biomass energy is retrieved from municipal waste, agricultural and wood energies. It is helpful in covering landfill expenses, but
